From the historical hill town of Anghiari, the Busatti-Sassolini family has been creating Tuscan textile treasures since 1842. Their fabrics are so timeless and beautiful, they have been featured in museum exhibits and international magazines…truly heirloom quality. Busatti fabrics, reflective of their deep Renaissance heritage and artisan skill, are true to the colors and styles of Tuscany, yet are versatile enough to appeal to modern sensibilities. These fabrics, produced on shuttle looms that date back to the Industrial Revolution, can be comfortably integrated throughout your home to enhance your interior design and express refined tastes. Busatti works only with the best natural fibers (long-staple Egyptian cotton and pure Irish linen), so that its resulting product is rich with durability and hand, while equally appealing to the eye. Native wool is cultivated from the farms in the neighboring Appenines. Dyeing the thread ensures that the colors will stay true and vibrant. Shuttle-looming gives the textiles a softer hand and durability by not stressing the threads as they are in mass production. Attention to these details are what make Busatti fabrics unique and worthy of their reputation of quality. Due to the unique nature of the looms, Busatti fabrics are produced in widths that far exceed the U.S. standard, enabling our clients to completely decorate their homes with minimal seams and interruption of the intricate patterns. We offer Busatti fabrics by the yard for large custom projects and in exquisite, finished goods for the home, which incorporate simple hand-made lace and luxurious fringes. When you touch the fabrics, you will feel the possibilities.
